آخر شاهنامه

 

هنگام آن رسیده بود، که رستم، سهراب را بکشد اما،  خنجرش را که به زهر آهیخته بود، نیافت

و در عصری که میرفت دلگیر شود نه کم، شبیح بر همین امروز، با گم گشتن این خنجر آهیخته به افیون، روزِ خوبی شُد و رستم که دستانش هم نام نهادند، فرزند خویش را نکُشت

 و مو بدان نشسته بر ایوان، همه با هم به ایدون باد

وجارچی ها به سرود

 

که شاهنامه، آخرش خُش گَشت و پایانش، چون شهد شیرین 

وهزار داستان که نوشته نشد، هزران هزار ، قدِ تمام ستاره ها
